Book Project

2018 Royal College of Art UI&UX, Creative, Web, Print

During my master degree study as a communication design researcher in Royal College of Art, I took part in the group research project: Book Project which is supported by the Pureprint Group and Thomas Matthews Studio.

Introduction

In the project, by using the physical bookmarks and QR codes, readers can upload their reading notes or their comments to the website. Digital devices such as mobile phones can be connected to the web and promote the sharing of knowledge.

Bookmark & App

I designed a set of note-taking cards printed with QR codes, a web portal that stores and displays all the uploaded images of notes. and a mobile app prototype that shows how users can see other readers’ comments on the mobile platform.

Test

I handed out the cards to students of Royal College of Art as well as Imperial College London to see how users would interact with the interactive bookmark system in their daily life.
